Pekin football ranked!

The post Week-2 Gazette football rankings, which were released last week, was the only poll so far to leave out Union area squads. A hot start by the Pekin Panthers assured that wasn’t the case this week.

Pekin, now 3-0 with three blowout wins, has entered the Class A poll, sharing the No. 10 spot with Nashua-Plainfield.

Pekin was not only the only ranked team for the Union, but the only team that got any votes at all. Winfield-Mount Union was previously getting votes in Class 8-Player, but didn’t get any this week after falling to WACO.
