Pekin holds off Keota

Keota rallied to within two points heading into the fourth quarter of Tuesday?s Class 1A District 9 semifinal, but visiting Pekin pulled away in the fourth quarter for a 52-42 win.
Junior Luke Lyle had 17 points, seven rebounds and four steals to lead Keota, which finished its season with a record of 18-5. Sophomore Nate Owen added a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds for the Eagles, and junior Kolton Greiner had eight points and four assists.
Junior Petie Clubb scored 17 points to lead Pekin (15-8), which advances to face top-ranked Danville (23-0) in Thursday?s district final in Muscatine. Junior Brody Long added a double-double of 12 points and 12 rebounds for the Panthers.
