Pekin Panthers defended their home court

PACKWOOD - The Pekin Panthers defended their home court Tuesday when they won a Southeast Iowa Super Conference North Division volleyball match over the visitors from Columbus High School.
Pekin swept to a 3-0 victory, posting scores of 25-12, 25-15, 28-26.
Pekin was led by Erika Coleman, who put up 14 assists so that Allison Bainbridge and Emma Phillips could combine their efforts to put down 14 kills.
The Pekin defense saw Claire Roth dig up six balls. Taylor Gambell served four aces, Bainbridge five and Coleman three.
Columbus has a 6-6 record while Pekin is 3-3.
Olivia Carrier hit five kills as Wildcat teammate Jobie Lekwa supplied eight assists. Emma Milder had 16 digs, Victoria Howell 13 and Carrier 12.
