KEOSAUQUA ? Zach Mosbey and Trey Sathoff continued their tear through field events for Pekin Tuesday, once again posting wins in three of the four events helping the Panthers to a fourth-place finish in the team scoring at the Warrior Relays at Van Buren.
Mosbey won both throwing events with a shot put of 49-feet, nine-inches and a discus throw of 143-feet, 11-inches and Sathoff took over from there clearing the high jump bar at six-feet to win that event as well.
Relays have also been a strong point for the Panthers all season and Monday was no different. The 4x800 relay team of Matt Jones, Jeremy Tosh, Brady Lamb and Derek Robison continued Pekin?s solid start with a second-place finish in the first event on the track (8:17.06). The shuttle-hurdle team ran third in 1:10.28 comprised of Tyler Sylvester, Cody Woodard, Josh Sterling and Hunter Maeder.
Other top relay finishes came from the 1600-medly team of Jones, Bryce Sines, Lamb and Robison that took second in 3:44.62 and the 4x400 combination of Jones, Cody Millikin, Lamb and Robison that finished third in 3:39.75.
?We produced seven PR?s tonight as a team and our goal has been to be well-rounded and score in most events. We are starting to develop some good depth,? said head coach Davis Eidahl.
