Pekin softball season ends

The Pekin varsity softball team ended their season Monday night with a 4-3 loss to Wapello in the Class 2A-region 8 final.
The Panthers finish the year with a 19-14 record after going 3-1 in the playoffs with victories over Danville, No. 11 Wilton and Van Buren before falling in the regional final to the Indians.
