Pekin sweeps at Mepo Invite

MEDIAPOLIS -- Pekin swept the girls and boys team titles at the Big Hollow recreation area south of Mediapolis with Lily Fariss and Lauren Dersheid finishing third and fifth while Colten Glosser and Brady Millikin took first and second, respectively.
Hillcrest's Leah Bontrager and Colby Harris celebrated birthdays Thursday at the Mediapolis cross-country invitational. Bontrager was second to Riley Duncan of Twin Cedars who won the race in 19 minutes, 57 seconds. Harris ran a personal best effort of 20:42 on the 4.91K course to finish 24th.
Madison Thomann of Highland was fourth.
