EDDYVILLE ? The Pekin boys? track and field team finished fourth out of seven teams in a tough field at the Eddyville-Blakesburg Rocket Relays Tuesday night.
Host Eddyville-Blakesburg won the meet just 15 points ahead of fourth-place Pekin.
Trey Sathoff cleared 6-feet, 7-inches in the high jump to win the event as he and teammate Bryce Sines prepare to compete in the event at the Drake Relays Thursday. Sines added a second-place finish in the long jump (19? 2.5?) and 100-meter dash (11.55).
Also second was the 4x800 team of Graham Wittrock, Eli Harper, Cade Millikin and Tyson Lamb (8:59) and Derek Morales in both the shot put (44? 8.5?) and Discus (121? 9?).
The Panthers will take a break for the Drake Relays this weekend before heading to their next meet Monday at Van Buren.
