Pekin uses late run to pull away from IMS

IMS trimmed Pekin?s lead to five points with just over five minutes remaining in Tuesday?s Southeast Iowa Super Conference North Division game inside Hillcrest Union, but the Panthers out-scored the home team 20-7 down the stretch to win 59-41.

Sophomore Hannah Miller sank four 3-pointers and scored 12 points to lead IMS (7-12, 6-11 SEISC North). Junior Olivia Yutzy added 10 points, six rebounds and three steals, and junior Kristin Davis had nine points.

Freshman Beth Atwood came off the Pekin bench to score a game-high 17 points and grab 10 rebounds. Freshman Gwynne Wright added 12 points for the Panthers (8-10, 8-9 SEISC North), and sophomore Madelyn Baker had 11 points and eight rebounds.
