Pekin, Van Buren both fall in second round of regionals

Pekin fell to West Branch Tuesday in straight sets by the score of 25-11, 25-7 and 25-8.

Pekin made the second round of the playoffs by beating Wapello in a tight match last week.

Van Buren fell to West Burlington by the score of 25-18, 25-17, 25-21.

Libby King didn?t miss on 12 serves for the Warriors. Nicole Coffin had 12 digs and one ace. Alicia Fitzsimmons ripped eight kills and also had an ace. Shayla Filson was 9-10 serving, two of which were aces and had a block. Hallie Whitten finished with six digs.
