Pekin wins meet at Albia
Girls cross-country Panthers take places 3, 5, 8, 11, 12

ALBIA — Pekin High School won the girls cross-country meet at Albia Golf and Leisure Club Monday. The Pekin boys, Van Buren County boys and girls did not have enough runners for a team score.
Rylee Dunkin of Twin Cedars won the girls meet in 20 minutes, 14 seconds. RC Hicks of Wayne won the boys title in 17:41.
Pekin had third place in both races with Zack Wise running a 18:02 and Lauren Dersheid finishing in 21:19. Teammate Lauren Steigleder was close behind in fifth place at 21:40. The Panthers also had eighth, 11th and 12th place finishers.
