Pekin?s Sathoff receives all-state nod
Pekin senior Trey Sathoff has been named to the Iowa Newspaper Association?s Class 2A first-team all-state squad for the third consecutive season after guiding the Panthers to a 16-6 record in 2011-12.

Pekin senior Trey Sathoff has been named to the Iowa Newspaper Association?s Class 2A first-team all-state squad for the third consecutive season after guiding the Panthers to a 16-6 record in 2011-12.
Sathoff capped his career as a Panther with averages of 23.1 points and 9.7 boards per game. He also led his team in steals (44) and 3-pointers (48) while shooting 55.4 percent from the field and hitting 44 percent of his 3-point shots. His record-breaking career positions him as the top scorer, rebounder and 3-point shooter in Pekin history.
The senior Panther verbally accepted a scholarship offer to play basketball at Graceland College in Lamoni next winter.
