IWC kept the match close in the first two sets and even pulled out the second set, saving two set points and eventually clinching on a service ace by Jaclyn Hannon. The Lady Statesmen though would dominate the final two sets to win the match convincingly.
Marissa Bozik added seven kills and led the team with 14 digs, while Hannon and Alex Ramos both had 17 assists. Alexi Holmes also added 11 digs.
The Tigers will compete in the McKendree (Ill.) University Invitational in Lebanon, Ill., on Friday and Saturday. IWC will open against St. Xavier (Ill.) University Friday at 2 p.m.
