Pennington, Harmsen lead Mid-Prairie

WEST LIBERTY - The Golden Hawks kicked it up a notch behind Jackson Pennington and Carter Harmsen in the second half of Saturday's River Valley Conference boys basketball game at West Liberty.
Harmsen's 29 points and 12 rebounds helped Mid-Prairie pull away from a 32-29 halftime lead for a 68-45 victory over the Comets. A 22-7 fourth quarter advantage was a statement from the Golden Hawks.
Jackson Pennington initiated the Mid-Prairie offense with 11 assists and only had one turnover. Harmsen was 3-for-5 from deep and Alex Bean went 4-for-9 in scoring 17 Hawks points. Ethan Kos went 4-for-4 for his eight points. Bean had six rebounds and three steals. Aidan Rath brought down five rebounds.
