Perez's inside-the-park homer lifts IMS
Winfield-Mt. Union scored the first run of Tuesday?s Southeast Iowa Super Conference North Division softball game at IMS, but the home team rallied for a 4-1 win.
After the Wolves scored a run in the top of the second inning, IMS (11-10, 8-8 SEISC North) roared back with four runs in the bottom of the frame, highlighted by junior Casey Perez?s two-run inside-the-park home run.

Winfield-Mt. Union scored the first run of Tuesday?s Southeast Iowa Super Conference North Division softball game at IMS, but the home team rallied for a 4-1 win.
After the Wolves scored a run in the top of the second inning, IMS (11-10, 8-8 SEISC North) roared back with four runs in the bottom of the frame, highlighted by junior Casey Perez?s two-run inside-the-park home run.
IMS starting pitcher Laura Hochstetler, was honored with fellow seniors Naomi Miller, Keilah Brokaw and manager Hannah Gingerich after the game, shut down the Wolves from there. She gave up one run on three hits in seven innings. She struck out nine batters and walked one.
Perez had a home run and two RBIs, and sophomore McKayla Brush went 2-for-3 with a double. Hochstetler, Brokaw and sophomore Hannah Miller added hits for IMS.
