Pioneers fall
Maharishi School lost a defensive battle to West Burlington in its season opener Tuesday, falling 47-26 in Fairfield.
Pioneer junior Surya Sawhney did a little bit of everything, finishing with a final stat line of 12 points, five steals, four assists and three boards. Bimba Shrestha scored five points and had a team-high five rebounds, and Avery Mullenneaux finished the game with four points and three boards.
