Postseason wrestling assignments announced
The Iowa High School Athletic Association has announced sectional and district wrestling assignments for all three classes.
In Class 3A, Mt. Pleasant will be hosting its district tournament on Saturday, Feb. 9, at noon.
Along with Mt. Pleasant?s wrestlers, the tournament will including competitors from Burlington, Ft. Madison, Iowa City High, Iowa City West, Keokuk, Oskaloosa and Ottumwa.

The Iowa High School Athletic Association has announced sectional and district wrestling assignments for all three classes.
In Class 3A, Mt. Pleasant will be hosting its district tournament on Saturday, Feb. 9, at noon.
Along with Mt. Pleasant?s wrestlers, the tournament will including competitors from Burlington, Ft. Madison, Iowa City High, Iowa City West, Keokuk, Oskaloosa and Ottumwa.
The top two wrestlers from each weight class will advance to the state tournament.
The New London/Winfield-Mt. Union wrestling team will travel to Mediapolis for its 2A sectional meet on Saturday, Feb. 2, at noon.
The Tigers will be competing against Columbus Community, Fairfield, Mediapolis, Washington and West Burlington/Notre Dame.
The champion and runner up in each weight class from that sectional and from the sectional at Maquoketa will advance to the district tournament at West Liberty.
The district tournament will be Saturday, Feb. 9 at noon, and the top two competitors from each weight class at that tournament advance to state.
WACO wrestlers will be traveling to Iowa Valley in Marengo for their Class 1A sectional meet, in which they will be competing against wrestlers from English Valleys, Highland, Iowa Valley, Lone Tree, Iowa City Regina and West Branch.
That tournament will also be Saturday, Feb. 2, at noon.
First- and second-place winners in each weight class from the sectional at Iowa Valley and the sectional at Durant will advance to the district tournament at Tipton on Saturday, Feb. 9, at noon. From there, the top two competitors in each weight class advance to the state tournament.
