Predicament’s wrestling rankings released

The Predicament has released its first set of rankings for the Iowa high school 2019-20 season.
A number of area wrestlers were recognized in the rankings.
The highest Union area ranked wrestler was from New London.
Marcel Lopez, a sophomore, received the No. 1 ranking in Class 1A at 113 pounds.
Another New London wrestler was also recognized.
Gabe Carter, who is a senior this year for the Tigers was ranked fifth at 160 pounds.
At 120 pounds in Class 1A, Sigourney-Keota's Mason Dye was slotted at the No. 5 ranking.
In Class 2A, Washington saw Dillan Sanders ranked at 145 pounds. Sanders is a senior for the Demons.
Corbin Becker, a senior at Mt. Pleasant, is ranked No. 10 at 113 pounds.
The only other Southeast Conference wrestler in the 2A rankings was senior Dylan Jeffers of Keokuk, who was fourth at 182 pounds. Burlington's Duncan Delzell, a senior, is fourth at 138 in Class 3A.
Mid-Prairie's Isaac Boucher, a senior, is ranked third at 195 pounds.
Cam Rice, a junior for Columbus/Winfied-Mt. Union, is ranked eighth at 152 pounds.
