Prep baseball: Cardinal, New London, Pekin win the night

Cardinal 13, Central Lee 3
Cardinal trailed Central Lee 1-0 for three innings on Tuesday, but the Comets scored five in the fourth to take a 5-1 lead. The Hawks scored two in the fifth, but Cardinal steal it with an eight run seventh.
Carson Kenney led the Comets with three hits and two RBIs in the win. Drake Durflinger ended with two hits and a pair of RBIs as well.
Blaine Bryant and Quin Snyder gave up three runs on six hits, one walk, two hit batters and 10 strikeouts.
New London 8, Van Buren County 1
The Tigers scored seven unanswered through four innings against the Warriors. Van Buren scored one in the fifth, but the Tigers score one again in the sixth to pick up a win.
Carter Allen paced the Tigers with three hits and an RBI in the win. Kooper Schulte followed with a pair of hits and two RBIs.
Allen won from the hill, giving up one run on seven hits, two walks and five strikeouts.
Pekin 7, Louisa-Muscatine 1
Louisa-Muscatine led Pekin 1-0 for three innings, but the Panther scored seven the rest of the way out. Pekin scored two in the fourth, four in the fifth and one in the seventh.
Highland 15, BGM 5
Highland trailed 4-3 after three, but the Huskies scored 12 in the fifth to blow past the Bears.
Connor Grinstead finished with a team high three hits, 3-4, in the win, along with an RBI. Chase Schultz also rattled off a trio of hits and three RBIs.
Peyton Yeggy and Ethan Paisley pitch for the Huskies. They allowed a combined five runs on 10 hits and three strikeouts.
Mid-Prairie 11, Bellevue 3
Bellevue led 2-1 for three innings on Tuesday, but the Golden Hawks took control with five runs in the fourth to make it 6-2. They then added two in the fifth and three in the sixth to pull out a commanding win over the Comets.
Tyler Helmuth led with a pair of hits in the box. Karson Grout, Alex Bean and Collin Miller each finished with two RBIs in the win.
