The first round of the Class 1A baseball postseason has come and went, and it was a big weekend for Union area teams.

Keota only needed three hits to score 12 runs. Clarahan went 2-for-3 with a double. Tanner Waterhouse was 1-for-2 with two RBIs. Dalton Dodd and Cole Kindred each knocked in one.

Hillcrest Academy 11, Grand View Christian 2
The Ravens were up just 4-2 heading into the bottom of the sixth, but a seven-inning frame helped the Ravens get by the Thunder.
Seth Ours and Luke Schrock combined to quiet the Thunder bats on the pitcher’s mound. Ours got the win, giving up one earned runs over 4.1 innings. Schrock was 3-for-5 with three RBIs at the plate, and Ours knocked in three of his own.
