Prep baseball roundup: Keota wins seventh straight, Mid-Prairie gets back on track

While Wednesday night didn’t bring a lot of action for Union area baseball, a select few teams still took to the field.
No. 8 (2A) Mid-Prairie 10, West Branch 6
The Golden Hawks scored eight of their 10 in three innings on Wednesday. Mid-Prairie scored two more between the sixth and seventh innings. West Branch scored six in the over the course of the final three innings.
Karson Grout and Will Cavanagh both had two hits in the win. Grout also added two RBIs. Cain Brown, Tyler Helmuth, Brady Weber, Collin Miller and Camron Pickard all finished with a hit as well. Pickard and Brown also had two RBIs. Miller and Dylan Henry also had a single RBI each.
Grout, Bowen Burmesiter and Joe Hall pitched for the Golden Hawks.
Keota 4, HLV 2
Keota scored three in the first two innings and added one in the fifth to move past HLV. It’s the Eagles seventh win in a row.
Colten and Caden Clarahan each had a pair of hits and an RBI in the win. Chase Sieren, Aidan Anderson and Caleb Waterhouse each had one hit. Waterhouse and Cole Kindred each had an RBI as well.
Anderson and Waterhouse pitched for the Eagles in the win.
