Pretz, Lampe earn All-State honors

Two area athletes were named to the Iowa girls? basketball All-State teams this past week by different media organizations.

Columbus? Kelsey Pretz was twice named third-team All-State for Class 2A. Pretz was put on the team by the Iowa Girls? Coaches Association and by the Iowa Newspaper Association.

Pretz finished fifth in Class 2A with an average of 19.4 points per game (second in the conference), while finishing sixth in the conference with 7.9 rebounds per game.

The senior also averaged 3.8 steals and 2.1 assists per game.

Highland senior Chelsey Lampe was recognized by the Iowa Girls? Coaches Association, earning a second-team spot on the All-State team for Class 2A.

Lampe contributed everywhere for the Huskies, leading the team in points per game (12.1), rebounds per game (8.2), steals (110) and assists (100).
