MOUNT PLEASANT ? Sophomores Govi Punj and Alex Simpson both claimed wins in singles action during the Trojan boys? 7-2 loss to Mount Pleasant on Thursday.
Punj topped Mount Pleasant?s Chase Higginbotham 8-2 in No. 1 singles to stay undefeated on the young season, while Simpson eked out a 9-8 (12-10) tiebreak win over Sterling Wickham at the No. 5 spot.
The Trojans (0-2) return to the tennis courts today at Ottumwa.
