Rain halts JV softball game
MOUNT PLEASANT ? The Trojan softball team was ahead 5-3 Wednesday when rain came and suspended play of their road game against Mount Pleasant.
Mount Pleasant had a runner on third with one out, and a batter in the box with a full count in the bottom of the fifth inning when the game was called.
In her first outing of the season, Shelby Heston accumulated 11 strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings for Fairfield.

Mount Pleasant had a runner on third with one out, and a batter in the box with a full count in the bottom of the fifth inning when the game was called.
In her first outing of the season, Shelby Heston accumulated 11 strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings for Fairfield.
The Trojans will be able to finish what they started when the suspended game is resumed prior to the start of the regularly scheduled doubleheader next Wednesday in Fairfield.
