Rankings precede actual race

The final rankings for teams of the 2020 cross-country season were posted Wednesday by the Iowa Association of Track and Field Coaches.
The rankings contain the teams that have qualified for the state meet.
The Columbus boys were ranked for the first time this season in Class 1A, which had 16 teams qualify instead of the 15 of other classes.
No. 16 is Columbus' position for the boys. Pekin's girls team was ranked second, where it has been most of the season. The Pekin boys are No. 6 as are Mid-Prairie's but in 2A.
Mid-Prairie stayed atop the 2A girls list with Danville-New London at 15.
The D-NL boys are No. 1.
