Rankings: Van Buren up to 6th in Class 2A

The ninth weekly rankings of the basketball season were released Thursday by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union.

Southeast Iowa Super Conference member Van Buren County moved up a spot to sixth in Class 2A. Other SEISC teams in the rankings are West Burlington, Mediapolis and Notre Dame.

River Valley Conference members Cascade, West Branch, West Liberty and Monticello are ranked as are South Iowa Cedar League members Montezuma, which fell from No. 1, and North Mahaska.

In 4A, Southeast Conference member Keokuk entered the rankings for the first time.
