Ravens fill up All-District baseball team
Hillcrest Academy gets 5 total on Class 1A Southeast list; Highland and Keota also represented
The Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association rolled out its All-District lists and in Class 1A, no Union area team sticks out more than Hillcrest Academy.
The Ravens had three first team names on the Class 1A All-Southeast District list. Senior short stop Luke Schrock and senior third baseman Jace Rempel made the squad, as did sophomore Seth Ours, who made the team as a utility player.
Those three weren’t the only Hillcrest players to earn recognition. Senior outfielder Grant Bender made the second team, as did sophomore Liam Schrock, who made the team as a utility player.
Highland ace Ethan Paisley made the first team as well. The Huskies’ senior was the only other Clsas 1A Union area player on the Southeast list.
Keota had one player named to the list. Pitcher Aidan Anderson, a senior, earned a spot on the second team.
