Ray Carter Cancer Card golf tournament results
The Ray Carter Memorial Golf tour has made two stops over the last month, with trips to Fort Madison and Ottumwa.
On July 19, the tour traveled to the Shaeffer Golf Course in Fort Madison, bringing 28 golfers to the competition.
The low net score from the regulation tees went to Mark Thode, who shot an 87, while Sid Manfull shot a 77 from the senior tees to lead that portion of the competition.

The Ray Carter Memorial Golf tour has made two stops over the last month, with trips to Fort Madison and Ottumwa.
On July 19, the tour traveled to the Shaeffer Golf Course in Fort Madison, bringing 28 golfers to the competition.
The low net score from the regulation tees went to Mark Thode, who shot an 87, while Sid Manfull shot a 77 from the senior tees to lead that portion of the competition.
In the handicap tournament, Denny Sorrell, Jim Almelien and Thode tied for a 67, leading the way. Jerry Westermark, Jim Lloyd, Dave Sorrell and Larry Bartlett each shot 69s.
In the most recent tournament, 35 golfers went to Cedar Crest Golf Course in Ottumwa on Aug. 16.
Mike Leyden led the way from the regulation tees with a 90, while Keith Lazar shot a 75 from the senior tees.
Gene Zeck and Lazar tied for first in the handicap tournament, each carding a 66, while Chuck Henry and Keith Hora shot 68s and Tom Doughty, Francis Johnston and Skip Speece shot 75s. Ed Lins and Bud Dameron carded 78s in the tournament.
