Washington, Mt. Pleasant track athletes travel to Drake
Area prep athletes are off to the Drake Relays this week. The relays began on Wednesday, but high schoolers don’t start competing until Thursday. The relays will last until Saturday.
Among the area athletes who will compete in various events from the Washington boys’ side are Micah Rees, Alec Ulin, Kael Williams, Keider Gomez Valdez, Jayfred Espinosa and Josh Anderson.
Washington girls competing are Ada Kendall, Leighton Messinger, Jaedyn Moore and Leighton Salazar.
Mt. Pleasant has two girls’ relay teams going, the 4X100 team of Bailey Jalas, Kynlee White, Alex Scott and Andi Scott, and also the 4X200 team of Kiyah Sanders, White, Alex Scott and Andi Scott.
