Rees runs at Senior All-Star meet
Washington standout takes 2nd at annual contest in Pella
PELLA — Washington senior Micah Rees had one final race on Saturday at the 2023 Senior All-Star meet in Pella.
Rees finished second at the meet, which included some of the best seniors in the state of Iowa. He crossed the tape in 15 minutes, 50 seconds.
Rees was coming off a fourth-place finish at the 2023 state cross-country meet in Fort Dodge. He ran a similar time in the state meet, finishing in 15:47.9.
Rees more than earned his spot at the senior all star meet. He finished his career as a two-time Southeast Conference individual champion, a three-time state qualifier and a two-time state placewinner for the Demons.
