Regina runs past Golden Hawks

IOWA CITY - With 17-4 and 32-9 the first- and second-quarter deficits for the Mid-Prairie girls basketball team in a River Valley Conference game Saturday, Iowa City Regina cruised to a 65-32 home victory.
Mid-Prairie's Maddie Nonnenmann canned 5-of-6 free throws on the way to 11 points, cleared the boards for seven rebounds, and blocked a shot. Nora Pennington netted seven points and Amara Jones five. Jones had three assists. Phelan Hostetler registered five rebounds and three blocks.
Grace Gaarde didn't miss a 3-pointer in five attempts to total 17 points to lead Regina.
Maddie Nonnenmann had 11 points and seven rebounds in Saturday's game at Iowa City Regina. (Doug Brenneman/Union)
