Results from Sunday?s Trojan Dash released

A total of 56 participants from the Fairfield area and beyond participated Sunday in the Fairfield Park and Recreation Department?s Trojan Dash.

The obstacle course competition, held at Waterworks Park, was split into two- and four-mile races. It was open to all males and females aged 16 and older.

Sixteen-year-old Trevor Starnes of Fairfield won the two-mile race and 31-year-old Merlin Weissheier of Fairfield finished first in the four-mile division. Starnes completed the loop in 15:51, while Weissheier ran two loops in 34:26.

Also in the two-mile race, James Havans, 26, was second (16:07) and Logan Swanson, 16, finished third (16:19). Fractions of a second behind Swanson was 37-year-old Michael Halley in fourth place (16:19), and Brian Simmons, 53, was fifth at 16:38.

In the four-mile race, 37-year-old Jason Loner came in second (35:59) and 32-year-old Chad Hamilton was third (38:00). Kody Reynolds, 24, and David Heiniger, 24, rounded out the top five with an identical time of 41:27.
