On December 17, teams from the Southeast Conference and a select few from the Southeast Iowa Super Conference will do battle against the Clarence Cannon Conference in the River Rivalry Series.
The girls will compete at Clark County High School, while the boys will play at Keokuk High School.
In a release by the organizers of the series they say the following:
Dear Administrators, Coaches, and Members of the Media. We would like to welcome you to Clark County High School & Keokuk High School, the hosts of the Boys & Girls River Rivalry Series.
We look forward to making this a successful shootout for everyone, especially the student athletes. It is our hope that this shootout can bring exposure to all of our programs and give our kids a chance to compete at a high level where their talents and abilities will be put front and center.
There are many great programs within this shootout and they all deserve this type of exposure. Thank you for being a part of this and making it happen. It is our hope that this is something that we can make happen annually and make it one of the great basketball traditions in the Tri-State area.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact Zach Summers at Keokuk High School via email at zach.summers@keokukschools.org or by phone at (309) 337-2467 or Jason Church at Clark County High School via email at jchurch@clarkcounty.k12.mo.us or by phone at (660) 341-4558.
