River Valley Conference softball teams named

The River Valley Conference has named its Elite Team, then its North Division and South Division teams as well as Honorable Mentions.

Mid-Prairie's Rylee Vercande received a nod for honorable mention.

Vercande, who is a sophomore, had an on-base percentage of .400 with a batting average of .362. She connected on two doubles, a triple and a home run. Her 17 hits led the Golden Hawks as did her 24 total bases.

River Valley North Division champion Northeast placed fourth at the Class 2A state tournament.
