Rivers scores 30, but Columbus falls
Columbus junior Ricky Rivers scored a career-high 30 points on Saturday night, but the Wildcats fell to Winfield-Mt. Union 80-65 in a Southeast Iowa Super Conference North Division contest.
Rivers also had seven rebounds, four assists and three steals for the Wildcats (0-19, 0-17 SEISC North). Senior Edgar Rodriguez added 15 points, and sophomore Chase Finke had 12.
