Robertson leads Golden Hawks

Cale Robertson had a big night for Mid-Prairie's boys basketball team Tuesday, especially when he was shooting from behind the 3-point line.
Mid-Prairie 74, Wilton 48
The Golden Hawks won the road game against their River Valley Conference foe as Robertson popped for 27 points.
Robertson was 10 of 19 from the field, but even more impressive was his 7 of 12 shooting from 3-point land. He also gathered up six rebounds and three steals.
The Golden Hawks turned a close game into a blowout in the second half. It was 12-7 for the visitors after one quarter, 26-18 after two and 51-35 after three, then 22-12 in the final stanza.
Robertson was the recipient of some Brad Tornow passes as he distributed 12 assists. Tom Butters added eight points and six rebounds. Dominic Pickard and Ethan Trimpe combined for 17 points.
Mid-Prairie is 5-3 and hosts Northeast Goose Lake Friday.
No. 2 Montezuma 83, Keota 68
A big second quarter helped the Class 1A ranked home team win the South Iowa Cedar League game.
The Eagles trailed 18-14 at the end of the first quarter, but it was 50-33 at halftime. The Eagles won the second half 35-33.
JD Stout went 4 of 9 from beyond the arc and finished with 26 points, five rebounds and two assists for the Eagles.
Carson Sprouse poured in 17 points off the bench, going 3 of 5 on 3-pointers.
The Eagles have lost three consecutive games to fall to 5-5, but are 4-3 in the league. They play host to North Mahaska tonight.
