The Southeast Conference picked its All-SEC team last month, and after a couple of stellar seasons on the pitch, Washington’s Greta Rothe and Mt. Pleasant’s Elly Manning were named Co-Player of the Year.
It was Rothe’s second career POY selection. She earned the title alone last season.

The Washington senior scored 23 goals this season and dished out two assists on top of that to finish the year with 48 points. She made three of four penalty kicks and started all 17 of the Demons’ games.
Manning lit up the stat book for the Panthers this season. The junior sent 35 goals into the net this season and dished out 18 assists for a total of 88 points on the year.
The Demons and Panthers each had three players named to the All-SEC team. Washington sophomore Giselle Marcelino and junior Lindsay Diaz were both named to the first team, as were Mt. Pleasant freshman Charice Auwerda and senior Abby West.
