Sigourney-Keota?s defense struggled to slow down West Branch on Friday night, and the Bears defeated the Savage Cobras 55-20.
Senior Cade Jones rushed for 141 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries and senior Bo Bower added 117 yards and three scores on seven attempts for the Bears (4-2, 2-2 Class 1A District 6), who totaled 435 yards of offense in the contest. Senior quarterback Cole Cook also completed six of his eight passes for 84 yards and two touchdowns.
Junior Kolton Greiner rushed for 188 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries for the Savage Cobras (2-4, 1-2 District 6), who lost for the fourth time in five games. Sophomore Cole Striegle added 57 yards and a touchdown on the ground.
