Salow named second-team All-Conference

Despite a tough season, a number of Washington girls? basketball players were recognized by their conference this week.
Junior Amber Salow led the way for the Demons, taking a second-team all-conference spot.
Salow led the Demons this season with eight points per game and 1.5 assists per game, to go with 2.8 rebounds per game.
Five members of the Washington team were honorable mention recognition, according to head coach Jay Zieglowsky, with seniors Dylann Schluetter and Sydney Hoffman, juniors Morgan Kimball and Addie Pacha and freshman Sarah Nacos being named.
Schluetter averaged 5.2 points per game, to go with 1.3 assists, 1.3 steals and 4.1 rebounds per game, while Hoffman averaged 4.1 points per game in her final season as a Demon, also grabbing 4.6 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game.
Kimball averaged 5.3 points per game for the Demons, to go with 1.3 assists, 3 rebounds and a team-high 2.2 steals per game, while Pacha was strong in the post position, averaging 5 points and 4.6 rebounds per game, while shooting 48.5 percent from the field.
Nacos didn?t start until a little way into the season, but while only appearing in 14 of the team?s 22 games, averaged 6.7 points per game, and shot 40 percent from the floor.
The freshman also averaged a steal per game and 1.4 assists per game.
The Demons went 6-16 this season, but will look to rebound next winter, as they return four of their top five scorers from this season.
