Sartorius, Kirkwood win national championship

DANVILLE, Ill. - The Kirkwood men's basketball team, which features 2018 graduate Brady Sartorius, won the Division II national basketball tournament this weekend. The Eagles took the championship game 64-58 over Johnson County Community College on Saturday night.

Sartorius is one of the first guys off the bench for the Eagles. His tournament high in points was six, which he scored in an 84-70 semifinal win over Erie Community College on Friday.

The Eagles won their first round game 96-66 over North Central Missouri College and took their second round game 80-65 over Niagara County Community College in round two.

Sartorius was a four-year starter at Mt. Pleasant and helped lead the team to the state basketball tournament in both 2017 and 2018.
