Schlabaugh leads Mid-Prairie at RVC tournament
Golden Hawks take 12th at conference meet

MUSCATINE — The Mid-Prairie boys golf team was in Muscatine on Tuesday for the 2022 River Valley boys golf championship. The Golden Hawks took 12th place, with a 395.
Drew Schlabaugh led the way for the Golden Hawks, shooting a 40 on his front nine and a 48 on the back nine to end up at 88. That earned him a spot on the honorable mention All-RVC list.
Warren Scarff shot a 95 for Mid-Prairie’s second score. Scarff put up a 48 on the front nine and a 47 on the back. Ben Mattes went 44 on the front and 52 on the back for 96.
Ian Schmidt was Mid-Prairie’s fourth scorer, shooting a 116. Schmidt shot 55 on the front nine and 61 on the back. Carson Pence was right behind him, shooting a 59 and a 58 to end up at 117.
West Branch won the tournament with a 310. Dylan Countryman led the Bears with a 75 to win the tournament.
