Schulte, Schultz named SEISC Players of the Year
New London, Cardinal, Highland have 10 named to list

Southeast Iowa Super Conference Union area teams had an accomplished season on the ball diamond to say the least.
With the latest release of the SEISC All-Conference lists, the players from those teams are now being recognized for their outstanding play.
Leading the way for the SEISC North and South Divisions are Highland and Class 1A state champion New London. The Tigers and Huskies each finished with 10 total players on the lists, which includes two honorable mentions.
New London’s Kooper Schulte (infield) and Highland’s Chase Schultz (pitcher) were each selected as this year’s Player’s of the Year.
For Highland, along with Schultz, Ethan Paisley (pitcher), Trevor McFarland (catcher), Luke Miller (infield), Connor Grindstead (outfield), and Logan Bonebrake (utility) were all 1st team selections.
Brenton Bonebrake (outfield) and Kaige Vonnahme (utility) were each named to 2nd team. Carson Netser and Peyton Yeggy were each honorable mention picks as well.
For New London, Dereck Santiago (pitcher), Tucker Gibbar (catcher), Carter Allen (infield), Joshua Catala (outfield), Camden Kasel (outfield) and Ryan Richey (utility) were all named to 1st team.
Seth Bailey (pitcher) is the sole 2nd team selection for the Tigers. Drew Benz and Brenden Richey were the Tiger’s honorable mention selections.
The New London staff of Brad Helmerson, Justine Schulte and Jayden Flowers were collectively selected as the coaches of the year.
For Cardinal, Carson Kenney (infield), Landon Becker (outfield) and Blaine Bryant (utility) were named to 1st team.
Tatem Telfer (pitcher), Josh Courtney (catcher), Kaleb Figueroa (infield), Tristin Cloke (outfield) and Drake Durlinger (utility) were the Comets 2nd team picks. Gavin Ware and Quinn Snyder were Cardinal’s honorable mention picks.
Jackson Manning (catcher), Bailey Roen (outfield) and Taylor Sprouse (utility) were Van Buren County’s 1st team players. On 2nd team, Izaac Loeffler (catcher), Dylan Richardson (infield) and Lukas McEntee (utility) were each named. Owen Loeffler and Tyler Stoltz were the Warriors honorable mention picks.
Hillcrest Academy finished seven players on the North list.
Liam Schrock (catcher), Luke Schrock (infield) and Seth Ours (utility) were the Raven’s 1st team selections. Jace Rempel (infield0 and Grant Bender (outfield) were 2nd team picks. Rounding out the Raven’s are Josiah Beachy and Noah Miller. Each were honorable mentions.
Chase Stansberry, Jackson Horras and Colton Comstack were each selected to 1st team All-Conference for Pekin. Levi Coleman and Blake Juhl finished on 2nd team. Chandler Stull was the Panthers one honorable mention selection.
For Winfield-Mt. Union/Columbus, Nick Crow and Cael Phillips were each honorable mention picks.
