Schultz shuts door in no-hitter

WINFIELD - It was all Huskies Monday and more specifically all Chase Schultz. Highland used a 13-run second inning to blow past Winfield-Mt. Union 17-0 in SEISC North Division baseball action.
Schultz threw a five-inning perfect game to pick up the win. He struck out 13 Wolves in the process.
After a scoreless first inning, Highland loaded the bases with one out. They scored their first run when Brady Hahn got plunked by a pitch, and never let up.
After their 13-run second inning, the Huskies put up one in the third and three in the fifth to eventually end the game two innings early.
Jacob Leonard finished the game 2-2 with a double, two RBIs and three runs scored. Brody Burton went 1-3 with a double, two RBIs and a run scored.
Conner Grinstead, Cory Stewart and Hahn each scored two runs in the win. Luke Miller, Kaige Vonnahme, Mason McFarland, Cael Yeggy, Stewart and Hahn each had one RBI.
