Mt. Pleasant put together a dominant performance

Mt. Pleasant 8, Keokuk 1
Mt. Pleasant found its stride in the second half against Keokuk as they grabbed a 8-1 victory.
The Panthers and Chiefs were knotted up at 1-1 after the first half, but Mt. Pleasant went on to put seven in the net through the second half.
Dylan White led the Panthers with five goals in the victory.
Isaiah Denning, Axel Noriega Ruiz and Angel Avila all added one.
Ruiz, Noah Lange and Jonah Zimmer each finished with one assists as well.
Rudy Ruiz Motta finished with five saves in goal. Xachary LeBlanc had one save as well.
Fort Madison 4, Washington 3
Washington came up just short to Fort Madison last Thursday.
Fort Madison opened the scoring in the first half and then Washington answered back as Isaac Gentry tied it.
The Bloodhounds found the goal once more in the first half and took a 2-1 lead into the half, which ended up being the difference.
Fort Madison scored early in the second to take a 3-1 advantage.
Kevin Marcelino came up with the two biggest goals for Washington.
Marcelino scored back-to-back to bring the game back to even at 3-3.
Fort Madison would end it in the 73rd minute.
Will Gilchrist-Brock finished with seven saves in the match. Omar Roman added two.
Mediapolis 3, Washington 0
Washington suffered its second straight defeat on Saturday as the Demons fell to Mediapolis in a shutout loss 3-0.
Both squads went scoreless through the opening half, but Mediapolis opened the floodgates in the second scoring a trio of goals.
The Demons sit at 6-4 with the loss.
Burlington 4, Fairfield 0
Fairfield was held scoreless through two halves of action on Thursday in a match against Burlington. The Trojans were defeated 4-0 by the Grayhounds.
The Trojans gave up just two goals through the opening half, but they were never able to find the back of the net themselves.
Burlington went on to added another pair in the second to hand Fairfield its second straight loss.
The Trojans drop to 3-5 on the season.
