Mt. Pleasant 10, Keokuk 0
Mt. Pleasant had no problem with Keokuk on Thursday night.
The Panthers routed the Chiefs 10-0. Mt. Pleasant scored six in the first half and added four more in the second for the victory.
Tori Wilson led the Panthers with four goals in the win. Wilson also added one assist.
Charice Auwerda tallied three goals and three assists as well. Elly Manning, Hailey Parrott and Mattisyn Wenke all scored one goal as well. Manning added two assists.
Eli Heaton picked up five saves in goal for Mt. Pleasant.
Mt. Pleasant moves to 7-3 with the win.
Washington 2, Mediapolis 1
Washington girls soccer got itself back on track on Saturday after suffering three straight losses.
The Demons ended the slide with a 2-1 victory over Mediapolis.
Washington scored one in the first and one in the second to secure the win.
Mediapolis put one in the back of the net in the second half as well, but it wasn’t enough.
With the win, Washington improves to 7-4 on the season.
Fort Madison 6, Washington 0
Washington struggled to slow Fort Madison’s offensive attack on Thursday night, falling in a shutout.
The Demons never found an answer offensively as well.
Fort Madison went on to score three in the first half and added three more in the second for the victory.
Aleigha Medley finished with four saves in goal for Washington.
The loss marked the third in a row for the Demons.
Burlington 10, Fairfield 1
Fairfield couldn’t contain Burlington in the two’s Thursday night match.
The Grayhounds scored seven goals through the first half. Fairfield added one of its own, but it wouldn’t be enough.
Burlington added three more in the second half to cap off the game.
The Trojans are still searching for their first win at 0-9.
