Southeast Conference volleyball will ramp up this week as Tuesday will bring a full slate of conference action.
Through one week, it’s clear it’s going to be anyone’s race for the SEC title as a slew of teams have already duked it out on the court.
Heading into the first full week of SEC action, Burlington currently holds the best record at 4-3.
Fairfield, Mt. Pleasant and Washington all sit with a pair of wins, with the Trojans at 2-3, the Demons at 2-6 and the Panthers at 2-6.
Keokuk is 1-2 and Fort Madison is 0-4.
Last years top two squads will meet in second week action.
That is 2022 SEC champion Fairfield and Burlington. The Trojans will play host to the Grayhounds on Tuesday night.
The Trojans enter the contest off a 2-2 run at the Grinnell Tournament on Saturday.
For Fairfield, the match is its only of the week.
Meanwhile, Burlington comes in off a 1-2 record in the Central Lee tournament.
Washington will take on winless Fort Madison at home on Tuesday.
The Demons come in after playing five matches over the weekend. Much like the Trojans, Washington competed in the Grinnell Tournament.
Out of Washington’s two wins over the weekend, one was against Mt. Pleasant, a 10-21, 21-6, 15-12 victory.
The Demons will end their week with a match against Mediapolis.
Fort Madison’s four straight losses came in the Bondurant-Farrar Tournament Saturday afternoon.
Mt. Pleasant will take a road trip to Keokuk Tuesday.
Like their SEC counterparts, the Panthers competed in the Grinnell Tournament on Saturday.
Mt. Pleasant went 2-3 in the tournament with victories over Iowa Valley and East Marshall.
The Panthers will end week two with a Thursday night match against Albia.
Keokuk is coming off a pair of losses to Mid-Prairie and West Burlington at the Central Lee Tournament.
