SEC wrestling too early to call

While the Southeast Conference basketball seasons have at least given fans a sense of how things are playing out, the wrestling season is only a few matches in.
There have been four SEC duals scattered across the area. Keokuk, Mt. Pleasant and Washington have all wrestled twice in league action. Fairfield and Fort Madison have each had one SEC dual, and Burlington still is waiting on its conference opener.
The league schedule was disrupted early on, as both Burlington and Fairfield had to start late due to COVID-19 related reasons. That sets up for a very important January, as the league will see the vast majority of SEC duals take place.
Keokuk is at 2-0 after its two matches. The Chiefs find themselves in first place in the conference after beating Mt. Pleasant and Washington.
The Chiefs held home court with a 43-30 win over Mt. Pleasant on December 10. One week later, Keokuk nipped Washington 42-36 on the road.
Fairfield and Fort Madison are both 1-0 on the year. The Trojans picked up a 48-24 win in Washington, and the Bloodhounds defeated Mt. Pleasant 48-30.
Only the Chiefs, Trojans and Bloodhounds had SEC wins in 2020. While Burlington hasn't wrestled in conference play, both Washington and Mt. Pleasant are 0-2.
