Jan. 24, 2019 11:34 am
The Southeast Iowa Super Conference released pairings for their girls' shootout this week. The games will be played on the night of Friday, Jan. 25. South Division schools will play host this year in everything but the top two games, which will take place at Iowa Wesleyan University.
WACO and Winfield-Mt. Union each finished seventh in their divisions, which puts them up against each other in the shootout. The Warriors will take on the Wolves at Notre Dame in the 6 p.m. matchup with Iowa Mennonite taking on the Nikes in the second game.
New London finished eighth in the South Division, and that will put them up against Lone Tree. The Tigers will play host to two games. Columbus and Cardinal will show down in the first game with New London's game at Lone Tree following at roughly 7:30 p.m.
The conference championship game will feature Mediapolis and Central Lee at Iowa Wesleyan. Pekin and Van Buren will play in the 6 p.m. game. Highland will be playing at West Burlington in a matchup of the two third-place games.
Danville will host another foursome. The Bears will take on Wapello in a game between fourth-place teams. Louisa-Muscatine will be at Holy Trinity in the 6 p.m. game at Danville.
Seeding was based on division win/loss records. Tiebreakers are broken by head-to-head matchups and if three or more teams are tied, overall record is used.
