SEISC names All-Conference girls’ teams

The Southeast Iowa Super Conference named its All-Conference girls' basketball teams last week, and a handful of HenrY County names made the list. Three New London players and two players each from Winfield-Mt. Union and WACO made the lists.
W-MU sophomore Jenna Buffington had the highest honor of any of the county's selections. Buffington, who led the Wolves with 10.2 points per game this season was named to the North Division first team.
New London junior Layney Loyd picked up a second-team honor in the South Division. She topped the Tigers with 8.9 points per game. Sophomore Marah Hartrick and freshman Ashlyn McSorley were named to the honorable mention list, as were WACO seniors Kristen Conley and Clara Schmitz, as well as W-MU senior Liana Sweezer.
A couple of seniors, Maya Johnson of Mediapolis and Suzanna Yoder of Iowa Mennonite were named co-Players of the Year in the North Division. Van Buren junior Taryn Scheuermann was the South Divisoin Player of the Year.
Coach of the Year honors went to Mediapoilis' Todd Borrison in the North Division, as well as Van Buren's Matt Zeitler in the South Division.
