The Southeast Super Conference Shootout of high school girls basketball will take place Friday.
Shootout games pair the first-place team in the North Division against the first-place team in the South Division. Also, the second-place teams in each division through the ninth-place teams will play each other. There will be two varsity games at each site except for the third-seeded teams, which are Highland at West Burlington, that will play a JV and Varsity doubleheader. Games will be played at the top-seeded South Division schools except the top two seeded games will be played at Iowa Wesleyan University.
That will be Mediapolis and Class 3A No. 10 Central Lee as the top seeds playing the second game after Pekin versus Class 2A No. 11 Van Buren.
Games start at 6 p.m. The second game will start 15 minutes following the completion of the first game.
Seeding is based on (1) Division won/loss records, (2) if tied, then the head-to-head results are used; (3) if still tied, then the overall record is used; (4) if still tied, then the school name which is higher in the alphabet will be used to determine the higher seed.
At Danville, five seeds Louisa-Muscatine plays Holy Trinity, then four seeds Wapello and Danville play.
At Burlington Notre Dame, seven seeds Winfield-Mt. Union plays WACO, then six seeds Iowa Mennonite School plays Notre Dame.
At New London, nine seeds Cardinal and Columbus play followed by eight seeds Lone Tree and New London.
