SEISC soccer pairings annoucned

Spring sports are starting to wind down, which means postseason play is set to get underway.

On Tuesday, the Southeast Iowa Super Conference released the pairings for the conference soccer tournament which will kick off on Wednesday.

No. 8 seed Highland will open the tournament at home against No. 9 seed Mediapolis on Wednesday at 4 p.m. in an opening round game, with the winner of that contest moving on to take on the top seed in the tournament, Columbus.

The contest with Columbus will be held in Columbus Junction, on Friday at 5 p.m., while No. 5 seed IMS travels to face No. 4 seed Holy Trinity.

On the other side of the bracket, No. 3 seed Burlington, Notre Dame will host No. 6 seed Wapello and No. 2 Danville will host No. 7 seed Central Lee.

The semifinals and finals will be held on Saturday at Central Lee, with the semis being played at 10 a.m. and 11:45 p.m., and the championship at 2 p.m.
